Day 9/365 Sunday Breakfast Spread

Jan 9

I wanted to do a food spread shot from a long time. This is almost my first shot but there are still lots to learn.
– I always shoot at 1.8f but it may not be the best option for food shots from top.
– Also composition is pretty important, which I kind of made it random here.

Based on these learning i will surely take another shot soon.

If anyone likes to take food shot like these, here’s what you can refer to.

Day 3/365 – Anyone for cherry liqueur chocolate

3rd Jan
My camera had been lended to a friend so clicked with my Kodak point n shoot. Though I tried my level best to take a decent shot, i had to cover up this image for bad exposure. I need to learn a lot and be creative with point n shoot (since most of the days i might not be able to carry my SLR – my point and shoot weighs lesser than my smallest lens).

P.S – This is a shot from inside my light tent all home made, you will not know how much you are gonna love it unless you build it. I will put more shots of it. For now – this is the resource i used to build it –

Day 1/365 New Year Resolutions!

1 Jan
I am very inspired to take up the 365 project again. Last time I did it in
2009. I have barely any idea how will I be able to do this, since I work 5 days/week and am home post sunset, which as most of my fellow photographers know how important light is to photography. I have decided to build a small home studio where I can do lot of product photography, but again I am not going to restrict it to that.
All the best to all fellow photographers who are taking up this journey this year.
